Pharmaceutics International Inc. teams with U.K. firm on drug delivery technology
Pharmaceutics International Inc., a Hunt Valley firm that helps drug companies develop and manufacture treatments, has teamed up with a European firm that develops imaging technology for clinical trials.The partnership will enable Bio-Images Research Ltd., a United Kingdom firm, to bring its technology, which allows researchers to see how effective treatments are to specific areas of the body, to the North America market.
"This collaboration with Bio-Images will enable PII to provide more extensive service for our customer base," said Steve King, vice president of PII. "Bio-Image's expertise will help with many of the new technologies PII is offering in drug delivery."
Earlier this month, PII announced plans to open a new facility in Hunt Valley and also to hire 40 to 50 new workers over the next year.
