Prescott School Board will consider $2 million request
PRESCOTT - Each year, before the governing board adopts the maintenance and operation budget, Prescott Unified School District staff members submit their requests for supplies and services.For the fiscal year 2008-09 school year, administrators are asking the governing board to approve $330,218 for supplies and services.
During its study session this evening, the PUSD Governing Board will discuss that and other requests for supplies and services.
The board will consider the following additional requests for supplies and services: $1,103,116 for district-wide instruction support; $34,550 for district-wide instruction; $52,490 for the governing board/superintendent; $103,455 for information technology; $137,478 for transportation; $220,393 for service center maintenance; and $102,332 for special education.
The total request for M&O supplies and services is $2,084,032.
The governing board also will discuss placing the Joint Technology Education District on the November ballot for voter approval.
On April 28, the Arizona State Board of Education approved the plans for Mountain Institute JTED.
The governing board will meet at 5:30 p.m. in the district office boardroom at 146 S. Granite St. in Prescott.
The meeting is open to the public.
